    Description

    An ethnographic study examining cultural memory within rural Missouri communities that grow or grew burley tobacco by exploring the material culture of tobacco baskets. This project involves historical (primary and secondary source) research and conducting interviews.


    Location
    UMKC, Weston, Missouri, and communities in northwest Missouri.


    Qualifications
    A deep interest cultural anthropology or sociology and an interest in learning ethnographic research methodologies.
