Description
A compartmental modeling approach is employed to develop a deterministic model, which will represent the dynamics of violent gang crime and gang membership. The model will be used to determine the relative effectiveness of preventive and control measures including community-based interventions, community services, police efforts, and reform programs. Further analysis of the model will quantify the minimum efforts required for gang suppression and it will determine possible dynamics of gang membership and violent gang crimes.
