UR-Linked

A searchable database, UR-Linked allows aspiring undergraduate researchers, scholars, and artists to connect with faculty mentors across campus. UR-Linked includes faculty profiles as well as more specific information about their research projects and artistic endeavors.

    Description

    Projects every semester related to volcanic processes.


    Location
    Kansas City and some field locations around the US.


    Qualifications
    Computer skills including GIS, image manipulation, and audio visual are valued. Background in either introductory geology, chemistry or physics with advanced coursework prefered. Must be willing to learn new skills


    Project Timeline
    Projects can last one semester to up to two years depending on interest and progress.


    Logistics and Compensation
    Projects can coincide with SEARCH and SUROP timelines, work study research positions, and NSF grant funding. Research costs covered by various awards, salary is available for some projects.


    Duites
    Duties include analysis of digital data, physical samples of rocks and minearls, molten rock experiment support, videography, and pun generation.
